Inside Real Estate
In 2016, Jessica fled from domestic violence, seeking refuge at SafeHome with nothing to her name. Fast forward five years, she’s transformed into a passionate advocate for survivors. Since starting her real estate business in 2021, Jessica dedicates herself to collecting items for DV survivors, making annual donations to SafeHome, and actively educating others about domestic violence signs and support. Throughout the year, Jessica assists numerous individuals, offering resources, providing temporary shelter in her own home when needed, and guiding them to essential services. Her mission is clear: “To lead with compassion, love, and empathy so that no human ever feels the way I did.” Beyond her advocacy for survivors, Jessica demonstrates her commitment to the community by delivering food to those in need, initiating a nonprofit for temporary shelter, participating in Habitat for Humanity home builds, and adopting families to provide essential support. Her actions truly reflect her love for others and dedication to creating a positive impact in her community.

Heather strives to make giving back a part of her brokerage culture and mentality. There are various, small intentional donations like dropping food for the local food pantry boxes located outside facilities that are sporadically done. More consistently, she donates part of her Wednesday each week to help with Heart & Home Makeovers to help furnish and decorate homes and make them a safe, loving space for people getting out of hardship, unfortunate situations, or domestic violence. Each week at H&H looks different as sometimes they are working in the warehouse, helping a “client” shop for their new home goods (which really are just the basics most of us take for granted), and other weeks they are in someone's home putting it together top to bottom so they can come home to their new space. One of the biggest community events Heather created through her brokerage is Hope for the Holidays, providing assistance for family’s in need. They accept 95% of all that apply each year (this is year 6). For 2023, they are purchasing for 96 children, and of those, Heather has personally shopped for 53 children.
Serving as a board member for both the local REALTORS Association and Home Builders Association, Jennifer brought innovation to the annual “Build My Future” event. Instead of traditional hands-on experiences, Jennifer proposed a bolder idea in 2022: the #48HourTinyBuild. With community support, high school students and contractors collaborated to construct an entire tiny house on wheels in just 48 hours. The inaugural home was donated to a local organization providing transitional housing. In 2023, the event expanded, resulting in two complete tiny homes. One will serve as crucial transitional housing, while the other will be raffled, funding future events and contributing to a scholarship for the local Apprenticeship Center at the Community College. The #48HourTinyBuild is a lasting testament to the community’s ability to shape the future, inspiring aspiring builders, energizing the current workforce, and uplifting the less fortunate.
